THE LAST DAY

Today is the last day of the credit variaible, but we don't have an apperitive. Ooooohhhh!
But don't worry it's not necessary. This is more fun that do apperitive.
Today we have to write the conclutions of this credit.We learn to recicling, learn to do soap, and learn more english. In this credit we learn too, that recicling isn't dificult and it's best for the planet and enviroment.

RECICLYING OIL

The other day, my partner and I went to the laboratory to recile oil and transformer to soap. The ingerdient were: oil, NaOH, flour, soap in powder and destilled water. First we filtrated the mixture and then we put it in the petri's capsule. Finaly we wait for two weeks.

The final results weren't very well because we didn't mix very good.

WATER POLLUTION

Last day we went to the quimic laboratory and do an experiment. We ovservated the growth of the seeds. We used the next sustances:
NH3, destilated wather, HCL and NAOH but we too use material and is the next: petri's capsull, camera , ruller, cellulose.
We prepared three solutions (concentration 1 M, 0'1 M and 0'01 M) with this three pollutans , we soak the cellulose paper, we put this paper into a petri's capsulle and we put the 10 seeds of soya in it. After that we observed the growth. The last pass is taked some photos about the germinated seeds. The results are:

And the conclutions are:

In distilled water the growth is the best for the seeds but in the other pollwe can see that the seeds don't grow, because they have more polluting than the control. When we have 1M and 0'1M, the seeds don't grown.

And the conclution is that the polluting water doesn't let grow the seeds, and then there is no vegetables for us and for the hervivorous animarls.

MICRO-CLIMATES IN THE CITY

Last Tuesday we went to the street, in front of our school and in front of "Corte Inglés".

We measured the temperature and the wind speed there. We used the thermometer to measure the temperature and the anemometer to measure the wind speed. In both case.

And the results are:

Conclutions: The temperature in the floor is higher than the temperature on one or two meters from the floor. Because the sun rays hit againts the floor and the floor take over them.

Today we calculate our ecological footprints in a web: http://www.stanleyparkecology.ca/programs/activities/howbigft.php
First:The Carla's ecological footprint is 505 dam2=505.000.000cm2
Second:She draw her foot on a paper and Carla calculate the width and the length of her foot to get the area of her footprint.
And finaly we obtain the number of footprints in one day, and the result is: 3.569.420'28.

And now we make the same with Borja. And the results are:
- Ecological footprint=350dam2=350.000.000cm2.
- 175.000.000 footprints in one day.

THE RESULTS ABOUT THE THREE STREETS

Hi, now we can explain another activitie about the three streets: Gran Via, Casp, Pau Claris.
First, we count the number of cars, taxis, lorries, motorbikes, buses and pedestians. In this streets in five minuts.
Second, we write the results, and finaly we divide all the results by five, to get the numbers of veichles per minut.

Conclutions:

In Gran Via pass a lot of cars, motos, buses... because it is a main street with a lot of lanes, and cross all the city . In the other streets don't pass a lot of cars because they aren't main streets and they don't cross all the city.
In Pau Claris pass the triple of cars than in Casp, but they have similar width. This is because Pau Claris cross a important streets: cross Gran Via, Diagonal, Aragó and arrive to the sea.

In Casp have more pedestians because don't pass a lot of cars, so it has less polution and also less noise.

The Pau Claris is the segon stree more biggest, and Casp is the last.
