My town is big, Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia (Spain), in North-East of Spain with a population of 1,605,602. It is situated at the Mediterranian shore, about 120km at south of mountain range at the Pirineus and at the France frontier, at East Collserola, at South the Llobregat river and at North the Besos river.
Barcelona is a major economic centre, with one of Europe's principal Mediterranean ports, and Barcelona International Airport is the second largest in Spain.

Particularly renowned are architectural works of Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Domènech i Montaner that have been designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The city is also the capital of the county (comarca) of the Barcelonès.
